Every day of the week is different, and he labels them accordingly in his head. There’s no real method to the madness. It’s something that he does to feel in control, to remember, to prevent dreams of things he doesn’t want. Just like counting his fingers to make sure he’s still in the present, Stiles will take colors and use them like a shield.
He hasn’t told anybody about it, but truthfully, he doesn’t think he needs to. It’s something only he gets to know, something for himself. It’s not like he wouldn’t say anything if it were really important, but.. it isn’t often he has anything of his own. Being nineteen, and not knowing who you are? To him, it feels like cowardice. How can you not know? How could you let it stay like this so late into your life? To him, it feels like danger waiting to happen, because if he can’t figure himself out, nothing good will come of it.
Scott says he’s wrong. Which, fair, because Scott doesn’t see anything like he does. They’re best friends, but the differences between them could build walls and walls. Stiles is green, Scott is yellow. Stiles is void, Scott is light. Simply put. He sees the colors in people, too, not just days. Like how Derek is blue, and Isaac is violet, and Erica is red.
People who are old enough to remember ad free YouTube, FB, Twitter and Instagram believing that capitalism drives innovation are fucking hilarious.
Like, all of those platforms were still profitable…massively profitable before they had targeted ads on your feed and unskippable ads before videos. They didn’t need to bring them in. They weren’t going to go under, their CEOs weren’t living in the backseats of their cars, they were living in mansions already. They just wanted more money.
Greed was the only reason. Capitalism is the reason they made their platforms and the user experience worse. That’s it.
OMG JUST REMEMBERED I HAVE ANOTHER EAR OF CORN IN MY FRIDGE
